Making the Most of your University Minibus over the Summer

Summer is here, and the final push for your students to get the best grades possible is in full swing. Now is probably not the time to be planning your holidays over the break, but we thought we’d make light reference to those precious few weeks now. As soon as those students are off for the summer, you may think that all responsibilities you currently hold at your university are relinquished until September. Remember that minibus that you're responsible for? We’ve got a couple of great ideas for you to keep utilising this over the summer.

It may surprise you, but some students may choose to stay on-site and live in the town/city where your university is situated but can often fall into the boredom trap when all their coursework is completed for a year. It can also be difficult for these students to enjoy their experience to the full while living on a tight student budget, so why not make their lives a little easier with the use of your versatile university minibus?

Not every member of staff at your university will work to the same timetable, some may finish slightly later in the term due to later exams or students re-taking certain aspects of courses. If a member of staff is qualified to drive a minibus (has held a full B car licence for at least two years), then the ball is well and truly rolling. Offer your university students an easy way to commute in and out to key areas of town, including the student union, local spots of interest and the station. This allows students to keep busy on a cheap budget, while making the most of the university minibus over the summer.
